About us

I was born in the small town of Hilo, Hawai’i in 1971. I was raised in a core and extended family environment (as everyone in Hawaii is “family” in some way.)
In my early years, I attended St. Joseph School on the Big Island, and served as an alter boy at St. Joseph Church. I was involved with sports, the arts, and nature. I was brought up to respect people and the environment, as we lived in limited space on the “islands.”
In addition to family, I learned many of life’s skills while a boarding student at Kamehameha Schools on the island of O’ahu. The foundation of leadership and honor was instilled in me during my JROTC years, and as the Kamehameha Song Contest Freshman Coed Song Leader (a tradition that still holds true today.) I studied a foreign language, Honor, and AP Courses.
I have been employed for as long as I can remember…back to my early teens. I have always held at least two jobs. Eventually, I learned that self-employment and owning your own business was the way to expand my horizons. These years of growth had taught me discipline, hard work, humility, drive, and how to set achievable business goals.
I left Hawaii in 1993 and have lived in Ventura, CA, Schenectady, NY, and finally in Las Vegas, NV. I have called Las Vegas home for 20+ years, and have raised my family and businesses here.
In 1995, I entered the world of law enforcement as a Deputy Marshal for the City of North Las Vegas. In 1997, I found my home in the City of Las Vegas as a Deputy City Marshal. Throughout my career, I have worn many hats, and performed many duties as an officer, trainer, mentor, and program overseer. I have been involved in several facets of my department such as the Academy, Administration, In-Service Training, and Accreditation. I have grown up at the City of Las Vegas, and have learned many lessons of how government can work efficiently and positively for the communities it serves.
In 2004, my wife, Annie, and I entered the world of real estate and quickly became licensed Realtors. We became members of the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors (GLVAR), Nevada Association of Realtors (NVAR), and the National Association of Realtors (NAR). We both are current, practicing Realtors, and have help numerous buyers, sellers, renters, and investors here in our great city.
Also in 2004, I started a Segway Sales & Tour business with my partner and long time friend, Lorena. Our business was named You Can!! Segway HT, and our store was originally located on Carson/7th Street in downtown Las Vegas. Due to our love for this vibrant city, it was easy to develop core tours of Downtown Las Vegas. Over the years, we have been privileged to share the city with so many people from around the globe.
During my free time, I “freelance” as a law enforcement and civilian trainer, and travel throughout the United States and Mexico to conduct training. I currently train/instruct with Front Sight Firearms Training Institute, Armament Systems and Procedures, and the Silver State Law Enforcement Academy.
If elected, I will make it a priority to create a safe, livable, sustainable community in Ward 6 for generations to prosperously grow. I will ensure every tax dollar is spent wisely in Ward 6 for its sustainable future. I look forward to serving my community as your Las Vegas City Councilman for Ward 6. Join me in moving Ward 6 forward!
